Neighbourhood Character

Let’s make sure that future home construction enhances the character of neighbourhoods.

Council appointed West Vancouver residents to the Neighbourhood Character Working Group to propose regulations and policies that better respect neighbourhood character, protect heritage and mitigate the impacts of development.

The working group has identified five priority issues:

  1. building size
  2. landscaping
  3. hard surfaces, retaining walls and fences
  4. neighbour and public interface
  5. housing diversity

Your ideas will help shape our recommendations to Council, including the proposal of new, and amendment of existing, policies and bylaws.
