Following the Province’s announcement of BC’s Restart Plan, the District of West Vancouver is working on a plan to offer new and exciting programs and services while beginning to safely re-open community recreation and cultural facilities slowly and with a phased approach. This includes new online programs and reimagined summer and fall programs both outdoors and inside our facilities.
The safety of our community is the highest priority, and in accordance with Province’s phased plan to restart BC, the re-opening of District recreation and cultural programs, services and facilities will be phased. We are working with the provincial health authorities and the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association to ensure that when we do re-open, enhanced protocols including plans for physical distancing, capacity restrictions and increased cleaning and sanitation will be in place to protect the health and safety of the community, staff and volunteers.
