Parc Verdun Improvements

Park Verdun has been identified as being a popular neighbourhood park in need of improvements. In June 2019, District staff conducted an online survey in addition to three park information sessions to determine the interests and priorities of the community with regards to improving Parc Verdun.

We received 159 surveys submitted between June 6 and July 5, 2019. We learned that there is a desire to improve the stream bank and trails and keep both tennis courts and the multi-use courts. We heard interest in restoring the area where the practice wall is located as well as some interest in keeping the practice wall. Staff are currently putting together a budget request for park improvements to address these priorities.

Visit this page in Spring 2020 for an update after Council has determined the 2020 budget.
