We want your feedback on the municipality’s budget priorities before Council starts its budget discussions. 

Your input will help guide decisions about services and tax rates for 2026. 

This questionnairewill take you approximately 10 minutes to completeAll responses will be kept confidential.

Section 3: Service Level Expectations

Arts and Culture Programs: This includes arts programs, cultural events, and facilities such as museums and galleries.
Climate Action and Environmental: This includes programs and services focused on climate change, conservation, and environmental protection.
Community Services: This includes programs and services for seniors, youth, and families, such as social services, community events, and outreach programs.
Fire and Rescue: This includes fire prevention, emergency response, and fire safety education.
Library Services: This includes library operations, collections, and programs for children and adults.

Section 5: Infrastructure Investment

The municipality is facing significant infrastructure needs, including upgrades to roads, sidewalks, facilities, and other essential assets. To address these needs, the municipality is considering increasing taxes.

Investment in climate action and environmental protection is critical to meeting the District’s GHG reduction targets, implementing environmental safeguards in development processes, increasing resilience to climate change, and preserving vital natural assets.
